Join us for a Rosary Procession at Stanley Park!
Join Fr. Jonathan Reardon at Stanley Park in Westfield
on Oct., 7, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, for
lawn games, potluck, and a special talk by Fr. Reardon
explaining the First Saturday Devotion. The afternoon
begins at 3pm at the pavilion by the playground, and will
conclude with a candlelight Rosary Procession to the
Our Lady of Fatima Statue, which is also on the grounds
of Stanley Park. The event ends at 6:30 p.m.. You do not
need to bring a candle, but please bring a dish of food to
share! All are welcome to attend! Let's honor our Lady
together! We hope you can join us!
We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group
to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the
teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals
to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation,
and Eucharist during the next Easter season.
You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a very nonjudgmental setting. Our classes will begin in the Fall and
continue bi-weekly until Easter 2024. For information
please contact Joanne Bagge
St. Mary’s welcomed the West African Choir from St. Mark’s in Pittsfield, to our 11:30 Sunday Mass. The choir sang during Mass and gifted Fr. John with a new stole on the 29th anniversary of his ordination to the preisthood.
Dear Friends, The Holy Land is a place like no other. St. Mary's Parish is sponsoring a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage to Israel in November 2023. We will live our faith walking in the footsteps of Jesus and the Apostles. Click here for details.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
We are all called to help those in need. God, our Father, asks us through the prophets to look out for the widow. Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew, “I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me drink”. We are instructed by the Church to perform acts of corporal mercy which consist of feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked, and burying the dead.
Here, at St. Mary’s Church in Westfield, the St. Vincent de Paul Society attempts to fulfill these needs for all people in Westfield. We are asking for your help so that we can continue our mission and to allow you the opportunity to give to local families whose future is not secure. Our recipients are the elderly, the sick, families, and children. Our donors are people who realize that they are blessed and are called to share their bounty. Is that you?
If you feel that you can help our cause, Thank You! Please send a check to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 30 Bartlett St. Westfield, MA 01085. Monies or gift cards can be put in Holy Day envelopes. You can also put them in Advancement envelopes and mark “for St. Vincent de Paul”. Food donations can be left at the back of the church in our basket. You are also welcome to join us. We meet on the second Monday of every month in the parish center at 86 Mechanic Street at 7 pm. God bless you!
