Please join us on Saturday the 9th of September 2023, at the St. Mary’s Campus to celebrate its 4th annual Founders’ Day and to help us in recognizing our honorees this year the “GREAT 8” who have provided decades of service to our community: Joanne Bagge, Jeanne Beltrandi, Mary Lou Hatton, Carolyn Lawry, Paul McKenna, Kay Mowatt, Connie Patten, and Barbara Queenin. Their tireless efforts to support our faith and grow our St. Mary’s community have not gone unnoticed. We thank you for your many years of service and dedication to our campus community and look forward to honoring you during our St. Mary’s Founders’ Day
Celebration for 2023.

It is a day we will remember the founders of our church and school, and value their legacy. We are indebted to the men and women who had the vision that led to the creation of our school in 1898 and our church in 1862, and who have contributed to the leadership and vision of the community since. We owe them a debt of gratitude – without them this blessed school and church simply would not exist – and this is why we honor them on Founders’ Day each year.

 Founders’ Day will start with a Mass at 4:00 p.m. Then on to a celebration for our campus. We take these precious moments to remember and pay tribute to her achievements, her impact on our campus community, as well as for all of us to take visible, obvious pride in our school and church.

We should never take Founders’ Day for granted, or see it is just simply as another event. Founders’ Day is extremely important for the STM community for two reasons: it is a day on which we celebrate achievement – our many achievements, individual and collective; second, it is an important occasion for the whole STM Community to be together, to do things together, and to remember that we are an important and strong community – the whole is stronger than the sum of its parts. We need this occasion especially this year just to remind us that tomorrow is not promised, so live each day as if it were your last! Our great village which has stood the test of time and which has a great, great history.
